The ADC0809 is a fairly simple and ancient device. See figure 7 in the datasheet. It explains all: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/adc0808-n.pdf One question about posting in the FPGA forum: the ADC0809 has a 5V interface, how do you connect this zombie to a FPGA?
i use verilog language, kit DE1. in "Fifo.png" figure, express state machine to read data adc0809 (by me). "read_adc.v, fifo.v, pll.v" is my code.

I want to know something about your ADC0809. Please tell me what are specifications of this this component? Also what are other hardware components in your setup? What is the range of data that you want to acquire? Also can you please post your code here?
