about array and their usage as matrix

hey guys greetings,
 i hope you guys are doing good work:)
 so i need to ask a question about my program ,the scenario is that i am 
writing a program for block codes where we can need to work with matrix 
and their operations ,, so can any body tell me how i can use array or 
array types for the array for shaping my matrix like how can i put my 
data (in bits ) in array
