good day sir/maam!, is this normal that there are ranges of threshold value of roberts and prewitt edge detection that makes the image moving(image is not stable) in the vga monitor? thank you,.
Provide more information! What is your problem? What components are involved on what platform with what development system? What is moving how fast?

sorry for a very broad question,,, im done doing a prewitt and robert edge detection in an fpga,, the input is a camera and the output is vga monitor.. its working perfectly,, im just curious,, why there are ranges of threshold value that makes the display moving, but if set the threshold value above that threshold, it works perfectly,. im just curious, if this is normal>? that some value makes the image move from left to right and from right to left??? thank you
of course this is "normal" because if the non defined levels in video systems. For HDMI Yc ranges e.g. the threshholds have to shun the black and upper information levels and naturally issues will occur due to the non linear transformation from the 0..255 to 16..230 value range. Dynamic (3D) smoothing is the key
what do you mean by "non defined levels in video systems".. im using a 14Mpxel camera, then using the alterade2-115 i can interface the camera by the videoinput of the board,.
