Reading .pof from fpga

hi,

i have a cyclone iv (ep4ce55) based board in which epcs64 is used as a 
configuration device. i need to get the .pof file from the board using 
the quartus software. In the quartus we have the facility to read the 
.pof file from the fpga using 'examine' procedure. But when connect the 
board into pc and check for the .pof file it is showing failed.
