FPGA EEPROM erasing

hi,
i have done the active serial programming by switching the mode from 
JTAG to Active Serial Programming, and it works fine.For erasing the 
EEPROM of fpga, i put checked the erase box in the configuration and the 
configuration switch into to the PROG mode. After the successful erasing 
the fpga board, and i can't do any programming on it.

Please anyone tell me the erasing procedure for cyclone ii fpga.
