monitoring AVB traffic

New to AVB ...

I have a basic AVB talker and listener (MAC with AVB).
I would like to be able to monitor AVB traffic - in real time - using 
wireshark.

My instinct was to use a Ethernet switch to connect the two devices - 
for initial testing. That does not work - I see lots of "control 
traffic" but not audio content on WS.

Another option would be to get a AVB switch with port monitoring.

Any ideas?
