Hi,

I have a MXC-1600 universal counter made by Voltcraft/Metex and I'm 
trying to talk with it via it's serial line. There's a data sheet 
(http://www2.produktinfo.conrad.de/datenblaetter/125000-149999/129356-an-01-en-Universalzaehler_MXC_1600_Schnittstelle.pdf) 
which tells me to use 9600 baud 8N1 and to send a "D" character to which 
it would reply with the current display reading.

Unfortunately, it just says nothing, apart from blinking the CTS line 
from time to time while I'm sending something.

Has anyone any idea how to make this thing talk to me, or can anyone 
provide the original software for this device (or the MXG-9810 which 
should be similar)?
