Hi,

Does anyone here use Ada for development of their embedded systems?
Pros? Cons?

I came across these articles, and thought I'd ask the question:

http://electronicdesign.com/blog/c-programmers-time-try-ada

http://electronicdesign.com/dev-tools/learn-ada-online-university

Is this just trade magazine hype, or is there something to it?

Chuss,

Julian

ADA is probably only used in some legacy defense/aerospace applications
nowadays. There is an ADA compiler for AVR, but there is not a lot of
development going on, and I doubt it is used in any serious
applications.

So no, there is probably nothing to it.
