guys I am in a serious dilemma.....i need to make a project with FPGA
which should include audio, video and touch interface. it has to be
shown in software as well as hardware.....can any one please suggest my
any ideas. i have no idea about C or verilog. can anyone please help me
out with the project. i would be really grateful. waiting in
anticipation.

That sounds like a fairly ambitious job.

Oooops...
So you must find something already (or nearly) finished. Maybe a EVAL
kit or a starter kit from one of the big FPGA suppliers (Xilinx,
Altera). Otherwise i would expect several months to get something
running.

How much time do you have?
What ressources do you have?

> guys I am in a serious dilemma.....
I agree... :-/

> can anyone please help me out with the project.
You must get much more specific, because up to now its a very demanding
task.

If that level is enough (video+audio sounds much more sophisticated)
then there are lots of possibilities:
- "pong" on touchscreen (with "ping" on speaker ;-)

- more games: space invaders on touch...

- reaction test:
a red square shows up + a beep --> measure time till touch
blue square or no sound --> no touch allowed

- sound intensity meter

- guitar tuner, changes strings by touch

- a "toilet sign": plays a song, changes direction of the arrow by touch

it just says that i need to use audio, video and touch interface
connected to the DE2-115 kit or a t-pad. does anyone by any chance have
a ready made verilog and c program for anything? it could be anything. a
game, guitar strings, anything for that matter. i am freaking out. i
have time until november but i have to submit the proposal on the 30th
of september. its just a rough idea about the project like the topic,
block diagram etc. plz plz help me out guys or else I'm gonna be in deep
trouble. thanks for the concern guys. really appreciate it.

heres the complete description,

The project should be a complex embedded system (e.g. involving video
and/or touch interface) by doing hardware/software partitioning at high
level and implementing the design in an FPGA. The hardware part will be
described using HDL (Verilog or VHDL) and the software will be described
in C language. The design implementation to FPGA will be done using EDA
tools by Altera Inc and on the DE2-115 development kit.
Minimum Project Requirements:
1. It must have both hardware and software components
2. It must involve
use of tPad for display and touch interface
Recommended Project Features:
1. It is better to have some form of video content. This is typically
met by satisfying the 2 requirement above, but you can include more
video
2. Make use of I/O ports on the board

i have until the end of november to complete the project.....but i have
to submit the proposal by 30th of september (thats the freaky
part)......as in the block diagram and the topic....i have still going
nuts tying to figure out a way to get it done.....plz let me know if u
have any ideas....anything simple would do...it should only execute
perfectly....it could even be some iPhone application that includes
audio, display and touch interface....i am new to C and verilog....and
suddenly I'm bombarded with this project....if have the C program and
the verily code, then i can get through.....please let me know if u can
help....thanks a lot.

C program and Verilog code means something with a softcore (eg.
Microblaze).

> please let me know if u can help....
I'm sorry, but I'm a VHDL guy, and so I don't have any experience with
Verilog. And with the Microblaze neither... :-(
