Measure phase difference with an oscilloscope

Hi friends,
i have a setup (sagnac interferometer) and i want to measure the phase 
difference between the two waves with an oscilloscope. i get a sine wave 
on the oscilloscope and i dont know how to interprete this signal.. im 
using a tectronix.
i will be gratefull for any help..
the signal is modulated at 50KHz..

oh boy.
already thought about feeding both signals into 2 oscilloscope channels 
and measure the time difference by setting the two time cursors?
