Inter-fpga communication simulation

Hi,

I am trying to connect to fpga boards together through serial 
communication and want to ask if there is a way to simulate this 
behavior.

Yes, sure. But which FPGA vendor and which serial standard you want to 
use?
Which simulator? Which operating system?

for vendor->xilinx virtex 6,

serial stander ->i am open to anything work with RocketIO,

simulateor -> any simulator that give me this fesature, if the xilinx 
Isim can do it then fine, if not what about modelsim from mentor? if no 
also then syggest one for me .

the os -> windows for now but no problem to go for linux with any 
distro.
