I am Ashutosh mahto.I am currently in final year engg. .As our final 
year project ,our group has decided to implement "Internet based device 
control using ARM controller".
    The aim of the project is to monitor and control devices following 
different standards of data transfer (USB,FIREWIRE,SERIAL,PARALLEL).Real 
time data logging and status information of the devices using ARM 
controller over internet will be a challenge.
    The problem which we are confronting is to decide a suitable set of 
devices or some services (say, automation in college,industries etc) or 
any suitable application to make it more productive.Please suggest me 
certain devices or services to complete this project idea.
    Suggest me some books or tutorials or any reference material which 
will help me during the course of the project.
