Hi everybody, I’m currently working with an MSP430 F2013, and specifically with the AD Converter SD16_A. From the Data sheet I can’t figure out what I should exactly do with the Pin P1.3 (VREF). It is written that setting REFON brings me an internal reference voltage of 1.2V (why that low? With such a high resolution, it sounds a little bit low.) Well, the main question is: can I use the P1.3 as an Input? Or is the solution to switch continuously from Input / Reference Voltage using the SEL register while starting a conversion? I have to utilize that I/O as an Input, and release an Interrupt each time it changes its state. The recommended 100nF Cap would not have an influence in the Input operation. Thank you for helping me out!

Should be possible. >The recommended 100nF Cap would not have an influence in the Input >operation. But maybe the Noise on your Input may degrade the Ref-Voltage.
