OpenOCD load and debug fails sometimes
show openocd.cfg. You may also just try:
openocd -f interface/<yourinterface> -f target/stm32 init
which will use files from the "target library". I have used them in my STM32 projects with success.
2 set BSTAPID 0x16410041 set WORKAREASIZE 0x5000 source "C:/program files/openocd/target/stm32.cfg"
Openocd recognizes the target as stm32. I use the yagarto toolchain with eclipse.

OOCD with the STM32F103
Good day every one! I'm using the STM32F103 series in an embedded application, together with OOCD. Now the 1st setup: STM32 Evalboard by KEIL with the STM32 in a 64 Pinout and 64 K Flash (STM32F103R8T6) Amontec-JTAG-Key OOCD r423 and r717 Worked just great :-) The 2nd setup: STM32 now in my embedded app. and with 48 pinout 64 k flash (STM32F103C8T6) Amontec-JTAG-Key OOCD r423 and r717 Didn't work! :-( Well it did work sort of, that is, OOCD finds the two JTAG-Devices inside

Possible wrong explanation on "STM Discovery as Black Magic Probe" page
Hi, There is a tutorial how to use the STM32 Discovery boards as Back Magic probes, and one section refers to why the DFU does not work on the STM32F429I board. http://embdev.net/articles/STM_Discovery_as_Black_Magic_Probe#F429Discovery_board_doesn.27t_enter_System_DFU_bootloader I believe the explanation is wrong, and the reason it does not work on the STM32F429I discovery board is that the USB OTG wired out is the USB OTG2 peripheral in FS mode. DFU supports the only the OTG1 peripheral, see STM32 AN2606, section 18.1.1, table 38. PA11, PA12 pins used

confused by STM32F207IGT6
? The board is also different. Like Devkit1207 board basedon STM32F207IGT6 and Devkit8500D board based on TI DM3730, can you tell why one is only 120MHZ, and one is 1GHZ. Thank you in advance.
STM32F207IGT6 is from ST, it is ARM Cortex-M3 processor. DM3730 is from TI, it is ARM Cortex-A8 processor. They are different processors based on different ARM cores.
