Problems with Code sourcery G++ , audio playback file
Dear All, Greetings !!! I am trying to build a code example given with the STM32F4 discovery board and am getting the following problems in the console/ after build "D:/eclipse_indigo/stm32f4discovery_fw/STM32F4-Discovery_FW_V1.1.0/Project/Audio_playback_and_record/inc/usb_conf.h

Further information should be available in the manual of the STM32F-USB-Library. The STM32-forum at st.com might be a better place to ask such target-specific questions

Helios GDB hardware debugging & JLink

I pasted scripts stm32_ram_jlink_[12].gdb into startup tab of Debug Configurations, but... When I start debugging, I get error dialog "Error in final launch sequence" with

Possible wrong explanation on "STM Discovery as Black Magic Probe" page
Hi, There is a tutorial how to use the STM32 Discovery boards as Back Magic probes, and one section refers to why the DFU does not work on the STM32F429I board. http://embdev.net/articles/STM_Discovery_as_Black_Magic_Probe#F429Discovery_board_doesn.27t_enter_System_DFU_bootloader I believe the explanation is wrong, and the reason it does not work on the STM32F429I discovery board is that the USB OTG wired out is the USB OTG2 peripheral in FS mode. DFU supports the only the OTG1 peripheral, see STM32 AN2606, section 18.1.1, table 38. PA11, PA12 pins used

nsec-resolution time measurement with MSP430 or alternatives ?
While the STM32F334 has a timer with 217 ps resolution, it is a pity that this resolution is only for output, not for capture, as the poster asked. The Infineon Cortex Parts also have sub-nanosecond timers, but
capture. And datasheet download still requires a NDA! You can get about 5 ns resolution with the STM32F405 and bigger parts, running the timer at 168/180 MHz or LPC43xx at 204 MHz.

You cannot do that as part of a class. I don't know the STM32, but my guess is that interrupt vectors are known by their global name, so they cannot be established using C++ name mangling. This also implies they cannot be hidden with in a class (class members

general this may not be a good idea due to the speed of external memory access. For example, the STM32 external bus is only 16-bit and access time is significantly slower than for internal SRAM or Flash. Running code from external memory may be as much as 10 times slower. Jack Peacock
