hello every body,
I'm a student in a final year and i have a project consisting of 
manipultaing a line phone with FPGA and then save if after decoding 
voice in my pc, can any one help me how i start my project ,i don't find 
any documentation about the subject in the internet,please help me.

And why do you need a FPGA for that task? What kind of "manipulation" do 
you have to do on the phone line? For voice recognition you can simply 
connect a sound card to the telephone and implement a decoding stage.

thanks for your reponse,
my problem is to decode eight (08) line phone and then save it in may pc 
spmultanely .if it's possible with sound card haow i can implement a 
decoding stage.thank's a lot

This is actually something digital telephony has been invented for. 
There are special interface cards for PCs allowing you to process 
between 2 and 30 voice channels per card. Alternatively you can use VoIP 
and software like Asterisk. It has a feature which allows custom voice 
response systems.
