AN2131SC SMD to THT Adapter

Good Evening,
I was looking for an SMD Adapter, so that I could use my AN2131SC on a 
stripboard. I actually found one: 
http://www.logicalsys.com/8051-smt-to-thru-hole-adapters.asp.
But, there is something that I don't understand: The AN2131SC has 44 
Pins, the Adapter only 40, so 4 are missing. What does that mean? Can't 
I use the Adapter for my purpose? And if so, are there alternatives?
