RFM12 module self test

Hi, after following some of the threads on the RFM12 transceiver module 
here and in the companion mikrocontroller.net, I wonder if it is 
possible to put the module in RF loopback.  Meaning to enable the 
transmitter and receiver at the same time to see the output bit stream 
return as input.  The objective is to create a simple go/nogo test of 
basic functionality without needing another operating unit.
