Does anybody know a download utitity for the new ethernet controllers
from nxp.

The utility from Philips don't support the new controllers up to now.

Yes. And maybe never will. You have not read the "Migration to the
LPC2300/2400 family" app-note. Flash Magic from Embedded System Academy
is already mentioned there. I have also succesfully tested lpc21isp with
an LPC2378, so it might work with LPC2368 too.
