Very good & compact tutorial to get STM32 running from a low level point of view. Think makefile & build scripts: http://pandafruits.com/stm32_primer/stm32_primer_minimal.php I've been using Qt Creator 3.0.1 as ide (for avr stuff GCC

Cortex-M3 External SRAM and Flash Programming
"). > the latest openocd svn supports all low/medium and high density stm32 flash types. as Martin mentioned all the info is in the docs - the latest docs can always be found at: http://openocd.berlios.de/web/?page_id=54 simply the gdb load cmd is used. >> 3.Is it posible
general this may not be a good idea due to the speed of external memory access. For example, the STM32 external bus is only 16-bit and access time is significantly slower than for internal SRAM or Flash. Running code from external memory may be as much as 10 times slower. Jack Peacock

SD card lock and unlock
SD card support, you would see a "password protection". I use the MOTO E6 to lock my card, and use STM32F103VBT6 to unlock, then use STM32 to lock and E6 to unlock, both works well. I use the SPI mode. If I cound help you, please email chairang<at>126.com

undefined reference to `memcpy'
For what it's worth, I had the same issue the other day. I was working on an ARM project with the STM32 Cortex-M3 MCU. The quick fix I tried was to use gcc.exe instead of ld.exe for linking. It removed the problem with undefined references, but after debugging the project I discovered that the toolchain
a problem which I have myself spent some hours battling. At the same time, present a solution to a STM32-specific problem with invalid BLX instruction being generated. // MS

OOCD with the STM32F103
Good day every one! I'm using the STM32F103 series in an embedded application, together with OOCD. Now the 1st setup: STM32 Evalboard by KEIL with the STM32 in a 64 Pinout and 64 K Flash (STM32F103R8T6) Amontec-JTAG-Key OOCD r423 and r717 Worked just great :-) The 2nd setup: STM32 now in my embedded app. and with 48 pinout 64 k flash (STM32F103C8T6) Amontec-JTAG-Key OOCD r423 and r717 Didn't work! :-( Well it did work sort of, that is, OOCD finds the two JTAG-Devices inside

Yagarto and floating point
general hint: check if, during the link process, the correct libraries are used. For example: I use the STM32 which got a cortex-m3 core and accedentially linked the libs for a other arm core. resulting in perfekt working code, up to the point on which I tried to use floatingpoint. that is, because the STM32 got no fpu and than the wrong lib was linked and used unsupported commands to emulate the fpu. You should check the main.map file, it includes the linked libs. then check if they are supported/
